Sightseeing on Easter holiday in the UK- Part 3

Part 3- The trip in Lake District for 4 days

I really love Lake District in the UK. When I wanted to come England, my friends suggested me to go Lake District. I watched a film, Miss Potter, in English TV programe. This film is Miss Potter’s autobiography , who is a famous British writer and painter , and created a series about Peter Rabbit stories. Her story touches my heart. This movie shows Miss Potter’s house in Lake District, that is a beautiful countryside.

Let me tell her story of life. When Miss Potter was young, she always had many creative ideas about animal stories. She drew pictures about her creative ideas and wrote down many animal stories. She loved animals and talked about her creative stories with her friends, but her parents didn’t like it. Miss Potter never gave up her drawing. When she grew up, she wanted to publish her creation. Peter Rabbit’s story was groundbreaking for her.
First she published a drawing masterpiece, the Peter Rabbit’s drawing novel was popular. She fell in love with a young publisher, but her parents didn’t like it. She still decided to marry him. At the moment, the young publisher got a terrible pneumonia and died. She was sad and decided to leave her parents, but she worried about money. When she checked her account in the bank, she got a breathtaking answer. The banker told her “ Miss Potter, your account has adequate money to buy many lands.” Then she decided to live the Lake District in England, and continued her drawing.
She loved the Lake District, this place has natural and beautiful view. She bought many Lake District lands, and environmental protection of her lands. When she died, she donated all her land and house to her country, the UK. Now everyone can go sightseeing and see beautiful natural views in the Lake District. I think Miss Potter is an incomparable and environmental artist, who is a writer. Her outstanding creation, Peter Rabbit is still popular all over world.
I love this story and this beautiful place. When we went to Lake District, I told many stories about Miss Potter and Peter Rabbit to my children. I hoped they can understand many Miss Potter lovely stories. We went hiking of the mountain, walking on the Lake side, saw Miss Potter’s house, Peter Rabbit’s world, took a lake cruise on the river, rode the Steam-train , saw Castlerigg Stone Circle, lived four star B&B house and ate English breakfast every morning. We enjoy our four days travelling in Lake District.
